Fine By Me 02:58
Today you’re gonna say what it is now That keeps kids grooving uncontrolled Today you’re gonna play like it’s cool now To prove punk spirit’s bought and sold And if you’re asking me Straight through it all I can see Cuz I don’t need a hand, with the words now Everyone knows now The deal isn’t free You say rock and roll is dead, but that’s fine by me. Today I’m gonna stay tried and true now Despite your offers, green but cold. Today I gravitate to the new now And leave my language for the molds And if you’re asking me Straight through it I want to be Cuz I can bet my hand on the house now Everyone knows now The deal isn’t free You say rock and roll is dead, but that’s fine by me. When it’s all been said You find you’re in the red. When it’s all been said Your ways are always dead. When it’s all been done The winners always won When it’s all been done I’ll take my songs and run run run Everyone knows now The deal isn’t free You say rock and roll is dead, but that’s fine by me. Everyone knows now The kids hold the key Since you shot rock n roll, but that’s fine by me.

Storyteller 03:36
Every story starts at “Once Upon a Time” Or so my friend told me Biting hook and line But the tale that’s left me alone through the years Started as a secret I took from my fears Storyteller spin something strange A story told that time can still change Help me forget my regrets in exchange Casual you call me once or twice Apprehension answers I try to play nice Because the tale that brings my reservations back Is no longer secret No longer in black Storyteller spin something strange A story told that time can still change Help me forget my regrets in exchange They say that every story starts at once upon a time Whether told in silence or spoken in rhyme Storyteller spin something strange A story told that time can still change Help me forget my regrets in exchange

Unwavering 05:28
Whispers are finding me Looking and dodging through trees Spreading like fires A good man’s desires unfreeze Turning of stones Where nobody makes homes anymore But I sit with a strain As the silence would rain, oh it pours Hidden in plain sight The trees and the flashlight align Away from the staircase You push me at my place in time Decisional red rush All crawling through dead brush to me Alone in the panic All rendered organic and free Unwavering The songs we sing The deafening Of the fall Unfiltering All set at peace The quickening Of the call Whispers are passing me Burning the one degree air As I sort through the fires My head turns and tires, laid bare Turning of stones I’m the one who’s called home here before But I sit with a strain As the silence would rain, oh it pours Unwavering The songs we sing The deafening Of the fall Unfiltering All set at peace The quickening Of the call

about

Pop music is the hipster punk rock.

This is the premise that colors Fine By Me. Each song is an attempt to try to make an intimate bedroom pop song with nothing intimate sounding or bedroom about it. Are the songs polished and overproduced? To some. Are they raw and incoherent? To others. Fine by Me is an experiment to try and find what lies in the middle of sly bouncy pop music and isolated airy folk, and if it leads you to hearing something just a little new and surprising, well... that's fine by me!.
